Evaporation boats for resistance-heated thermal evaporation, formed from 99.95% pure tungsten, molybdenum or tantalum sheet.
- Materials: 99.95% pure tungsten, molybdenum or tantalum
- Thicknesses: 0.005", 0.010", 0.015", 0.020" and 0.030" (not every style is made in every thickness and material; the options above show what is available)
- Styles: BS-series boats and BSF-series formed boats, including the BSF-1A lid
- Custom sizes by request
Thinner boats heat faster on less current; thicker boats last longer and carry larger charges. Tungsten suits the highest temperatures, molybdenum is a lower-cost choice for many metals, and tantalum resists attack from some materials that alloy with tungsten.
