Midwest Tungsten ships worldwide from our own warehouse at 540 Executive Drive, Willowbrook, Illinois. Most orders ship by FedEx or UPS, and international orders may also go by DHL Express or USPS. Tungsten is extremely heavy, so very large or long items may ship palletized by truck or air. Because of that density, we take extra care to package every order properly so it isn't damaged in transit.

Payments
We accept major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal and Bitcoin (via OpenNode).
For industrial and quantity orders, Midwest Tungsten offers net 30 day credit terms to qualified purchasers through our sales team. We request and check references before extending credit, and we may withdraw credit terms if payment is not prompt. Our sales team also accepts payment by check in advance or bank transfer, which may suit customers outside the United States. We may request partial pre-payment for custom items. Shipping
Orders ship Monday through Friday, except US holidays. Every item is inspected by our quality team before it ships.
- In-stock items: orders received by 1:00 PM Central Time on a business day usually ship the same day.
- Engraved items: ship within 1–3 business days.
- Parts made from our inventory (cut or machined to size): ship within 1–3 weeks.
- Custom parts made from material we do not stock: ship within 4–8 weeks.
United States
- Free shipping on orders of $75 or more to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. The free option is our economy service (5–8 business days).
- Orders under $75 pay the FedEx or UPS rate calculated at checkout from package size, weight and destination. Faster services such as 2-day and overnight are offered at checkout.
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US territories: shipping is calculated at checkout and is not eligible for free shipping.
- Oversize and freight items: some items are too long or too heavy for parcel service and ship as "Freight Shipping (oversize item)". The rate is a flat $95 within the contiguous US, free on orders of $75 or more.
International
- Shipping is calculated at checkout from your destination. Oversize and freight items ship internationally at a flat $250.
- The customer pays import duties, taxes and customs fees charged by the destination country. They are not included in the price or the shipping charge.
- Some materials and destinations are subject to US export controls. We may cancel and refund any order we cannot legally ship.
Tungsten Electrodes
Electrode orders of three packs or fewer usually ship in a FedEx One Rate padded envelope, which takes one to three business days within the US. Larger orders ship by FedEx or UPS at the rate shown at checkout.
Tracking
You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships.
Returns/Refunds
You may return new, unopened items in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us first with your order number and the item you want to return, and we will reply with instructions.
- Restocking fee: returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 40%, decided case by case.
- Return shipping: the customer pays return shipping unless the item arrived defective or we made an error.
- Damaged, defective or incorrect items: contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We will replace the item or refund it in full, including shipping.
Items that cannot be returned:
- Engraved and personalized items
- Parts cut, machined or made to your specifications, including custom parts
- Apparel, which is made to order
- Items that have been opened or used and cannot be restocked
These exclusions do not apply if an item arrived damaged or defective, or if we made an error.
Refund timing: we refund to your original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive and inspect your return. Your bank may take another 5–10 business days to post it. Allow up to four weeks in total from the day you ship the return.
