Description
The CR-6-AO is an aluminum oxide (alumina) crucible measuring 1.50" outside diameter by 1.5" tall.
Alumina is a hard, dense technical ceramic that holds its shape at high temperature, resists thermal shock better than most ceramics and stays inert to most molten metals and chemicals. That makes alumina crucibles a standard choice for melting and heating small charges, for sample work in furnaces, and as liners or holders for evaporation sources in vacuum systems.
